IATA: Airline closure threatens 25 million jobs globally

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has issued a new analysis indicating a potential risk of the disappearance of some 25 million jobs, with continued lack of demand for air travel due to the effects of the Corona virus.

More than 65.5 million people in the world depend on the air transport sector, including the tourism and travel sectors, among them there are 2.7 million employees working for airlines, and according to the scenario set by the International Air Transport Association if travel restrictions continue to be imposed for the next three months, there are 25 million jobs at risk around the world.
